On Saturday, Rovers travel to champions elect, Royston Town. The Crows currently sit seventeen points clear at the top of the league and a draw against Farnborough last time out ended their sequence of ten wins in a row, dating back to before Christmas.
Royston can clinch the title next weekend with the right set of results. They need to beat Kempston and hope that Farnborough don’t get maximum points from their clash with twelfth placed Hanwell.
To get to Royston, head south on the A1 and take the A505 from Baldock. The A505 runs directly to Royston. As you approach Royston there is a roundabout with a McDonalds next to it, take the first exit and carry on along the A505 and turn right at the second roundabout after this which is signed A10. Cross one roundabout and then Garden Walk is the sixth left turning. However, Royston Town advise not to park at the ground or in the surrounding streets. They recommend carrying on toward the town centre and turning right at the next roundabout into King James Way. There is a large pay and display car park here, which despite the significance of the fixture and the potential for a large crowd, should be more than ample for parking. The postcode for the car park is SG8 7EF The journey from Hillgrounds to Garden Walk is approximately an hour.
When the two sides met in November, Royston were 2-1 winners at Hillgrounds. Dom Marsala had put Rovers in front, but the Crows ran out winners in, what must be, one of the most exciting games we have had at home this season.
