Easter Saturday we host Fleet Town, having got back to winning ways on Tuesday at Chalfont. Rovers go into the game in sixth place in the table, level with fifth on points. Rovers recent record is among the best in the division with only one defeat in ten. Only Champions Royston and runners up Farnborough have better recent form than Kempston.
Fleet were promoted to this level in 2002 and have spent seasons in the Ryman League South, Southern League Central and the Southern League South West. They have been reprieved from relegation twice recently, in 2012 and 2014. They have finished in the bottom third for ten of the last fourteen seasons and currently sit in fifteenth place, having not won in their last five. They did however end a run of four straight losses against Royston at the weekend with a creditable draw.
Rovers won 3-0 at Fleet in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
How things look with regards to the play offs;
Farnborough have mathematically clinched the runners up spot this season, having done so by beating Barton at the weekend. They host Histon, who we face on the final day of the season. Barton Rovers are currently third, four points ahead of Kempston, and travel to face mid-table Uxbridge. Marlow, one point ahead, go away to Northwood; who need a win to be sure of survival in the division. While Dunstable, only ahead on goal difference, go to tenth placed Kidlington. Behind us, by two points, are Egham and they host eleventh placed Hanwell Town.
