Uxbridge have started the season brightly with two league wins out of two against our neighbours Bedford Town and Barton Rovers, scoring four goals and only letting one in. However, they were dumped out of the FA Cup last weekend by Thame United by four goals to nil. The Reds won only one of their preseason eight fixtures, scoring five goals, conceding thirty one.
Kempston come into the game on the back of their FA Cup replay win in midweek - which made for three matches unbeaten. Seb Simpson will be serving the last game of his suspension. Rovers have no other suspension or injury problems ahead of the game.
Rovers and Uxbridge have met only three times before, the two league meetings last season (a 2-1 home win and a 3-3 away draw) are added to an FA Cup preliminary round game twenty two years ago. Rovers fans will want a different outcome today to the 4-0 loss back in 1995
Basic directions;
Head south on the M1, take the M25 toward Heathrow. From the M25, take exit 15 for the M4, head toward London and take exit 4. Take the slip lane to turn left at the junction roundabout. At the next roundabout, stay central and follow the road across the roundabout. Cross one roundabout then exit the dual carriageway following signs for Stockley Park. At the junction roundabout, take the first exit. Go straight over the next roundabout to stay on Horton Road. Take the first right off this road. This is a narrow, private, road that leads to the ground entrance. Be aware of oncoming traffic. The car park at the ground is plenty large enough.
