Town have climbed to twelfth place in the table after, by most accounts, a scrappy one nil win at Barton at the weekend, the only goal coming from the spot. Bedford have scored five goals in their last five league games, accruing eight points in that time. Two local away wins at Arlesey and Barton proving to be the recent highlights. Bedford have recorded fourteen different goal scorers this season so far, only one of whom has more than two goals.
Kempston’s current form in the league is impressive – 13 points from a possible 15 since the late defeat at Hartley Witney, only a late goal on Saturday stopped it being five straight wins. The team will welcome back Ben Shepherd, after the midfielder served his one match ban for five yellow cards. Sam Macrae has been sent out on loan in a bid to gain match fitness.
This is only the second occasion that Kempston have travelled to The Eyrie for a league game, last season’s crowd of 169 was well short of Bedford’s average crowd last season. The Nuts on Tour will be looking to make their voices heard again. Here’s to a good game!
