Northwood‘s current form is hugely improved from the start of the season. They have picked up 10 points in their last four games, including winning their last three against Fleet, Hanwell and Aylesbury United, lifting them to twelfth in the table – three points behind ourselves.
Kempston may have hit the buffers a bit away at Bedford in the last outing, but before that there was a run of five games unbeaten, with four successive wins. Between the final whistle at Bedford Town and the game at Northwood, Rovers will have had a ten day break in which to iron out the errors and get themselves firing for the next game. Rovers are boosted by the news that long term injury victim Alex ‘Monty’ Stoyles is back in training.
Basic directions;
Head south on the M1 and take exit 5 for Watford. Follow the A4008 and take the first exit at the first roundabout. Follow this round until the roundabout under the railway bridge – take the third exit signed Northwood Headquarters/Watford football coaches, this is the A4125. Follow this road until you reach a roundabout, turn left following signs to Pinner and Harrow. At the next roundabout turn right, third exit. When you reach the T junction, turn left to keep following signs for Pinner and Harrow, then take the first right onto Chestnut Avenue. The entrance to the ground is on the left, it is signed but the signs aren’t very big. There is a small car park at the ground. If it is a nice day, park on the street and walk across the park.
