Did you know… On July 4th 1948 there was a mid-air collision over Northwood between an RAF Avro C.1 and a Scandinavian Airways Douglas DC-6. Thirty nine people, in both aircraft lost their lives, in what is still Britain’s worst air disaster.

On this day in Rovers history… Last time Rovers played on the 27 January was in 2015, against Wellingborough Town (2004) at Hillgrounds. Rovers won six nil thanks to goals from Ash Fuller, Vinny Shrieves an own goal and a Sam Johnson hat-trick.

Rovers scheduled game at Egham at the weekend was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. The game is to be rescheduled for later in the season.

The quarter final draw for the Southern League Cup took place in the week. Kempston Rovers have been drawn away to Hitchin Town of the Premier Division, the fourth opponent from the higher league that Rovers will have face in the competition. The tie will take place on Monday the 5 of February at Hitchin’s Top Field ground (although this may change depending on Hitchin's progress in their County Cup as this is the scheduled date for a potential semi final), full preview will be available nearer the time. The full quarter final draw is as follows;
