Ashford‘s current run isn’t making for very good reading for Tangerines fans. Four defeats and only two draws from their last six see them way down the current form table, only marginally off the bottom. The club is currently comfortably placed in mid-table in the league. The current average crowd at the Robert Parker Stadium for the season in 126.
Kempston’s current form reads better of late, three wins and a draw off setting two defeats in their last six games. Last time out, Luke Heneghan’s brace took him into double figures for the season for goals and forward Jake Newman made his fiftieth appearance for the club-scoring thirty goals in that time. Ben Shepherd, should he feature in this game will move on to 198 appearances for Rovers. Earlier in the season, a late Newman winner added to a Crawley brace to record Rovers a win in a roller-coaster game.
Plane spotters will love this ground as you can stand on the terraces and watch the comings and goings at Heathrow.
Basic directions;
Head south on the M1 and take the M25 exit toward Heathrow. From the M25, exit at J14 for Heathrow airport. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A3113, Airport Way. Cross two roundabouts onto the Southern Perimeter Road. At the third roundabout, turn right towards the airport parking, then right at the next roundabout – effectively coming back on yourself – onto Bedfont Way. Turn right into Long Lane and then the first left after the industrial units into Short Lane. On Short Lane, the entrance to the ground is immedietley after the houses on your left hand side. The entrance is a single track way, which can be tricky. The field in front of the club acts as parking, but can be muddy and slippy in bad weather.
