Egham have been on a bad run of form recently, which has resulted in the appointment of former Wingate & Finchley manager Simon Lane. Simon began well with the North London club, but left under a cloud after ‘fundamental and footballing disagreements’.
Egham have only played one home game in the league since the January 23, with a number of their games falling foul of recent bad weather. Keep your eyes on the Southern League website, Kempston Rovers twitter and Egham Town’s twitter (@EghamTown) for updates on any potential disruption to this game.
Basic directions;
Head south on the M1, take the M25 toward Heathrow. From the M25, take J13 to the A30. Follow the A30 back over the M25, then follow the sign for “Historic Egham” at the roundabout onto the B388. At the next roundabout, turn left to stay on the B388, which goes back over the M25. Once over the motorway, cross the level crossing and then turn left into Pooley Green Road. You will reach a roundabout, where you need to turn right into Holbrook Meadow. Then take the second left into Pond Road, then first right into Wards Place. The entrance to the ground is straight ahead of you. There is ample parking at the ground.
