Did you know… There is a strong cricket club in the town, that was formed in 1837 with success in the 1950s and 1980s and is again emerging as one of the strong clubs in mid- to north Buckinghamshire. Since 2013, Aylesbury has been host to a free 5 km run called the Aylesbury Parkrun. Aylesbury is represented in Rugby Union by Aylesbury Rugby Football Club, situated at Ostler's Field in the nearby village of Weston Turville. It is widely considered Aylesbury's most successful sports team; 'The Ducks' play in the 7th tier of English Rugby.

On this day in Rovers history… Rovers last win on this date was in 2001, when Northampton Spencer were dispatched by three goals to one at Hillgrounds.
The most notable result in the archives on this date is in 1934 and a 9-0 away win over Queens Park Rangers. This is of course, the Queens Park in Bedford and not the club from West London.
Back in August, when the two sides met on the opening day of the season, Rovers enjoyed many chances in the first half without managing to find the net before being punished by three well taken Ducks goals.
Home encounters with Aylesbury United have produced one win and one loss. Last season’s four nil win was for a large part of the season the club’s biggest victory of the campaign (edged out by the 5-0 against Arlesey in the last week), while the previous season’s 3-2 home reverse was made memorable by the fine controlled volley by Danny Watson to open the scoring, perhaps one of the best goals of that season. Later in the game, Rovers would be reduced to nine men as Munashe Sundire and Ben Shepherd were dismissed.
This is the fifty third and final competitive first team fixture of the calendar year of 2018. Rovers have won 25, drawn 8 and lost 19 in that time, including last season’s incredible unbeaten finish to the season, going without defeat for the final twelve games of the season.
