The Colts‘ current form is rather good at the moment as they push for a place in the play offs. Recent victories over their midlands rivals Sutton Coldfield and Bromsgrove have given them some of the oomph that they lost after a defeat against Corby. Although against sides from our neck of the woods, Barton, Aylesbury and Bedford Town, all their games have ended as one all draws.
The Tony Joyce Revolution picked up another point last time out to make it eight points from a possible twelve fifteen over the last five games, which sees Rovers tenth in the form table – above some of the supposed big hitters in the division at the moment.
Back in August when the two sides met at Hillgrounds, a crowd of eighty nine watched as Coleshill made their mark on the division, running out winners by five goals to two. Only half of the sixteen players in the matchday squad for Kempston that night are still with the club. One of those who has since left the club, Mason Spence, got the first of his two red cards for Kempston in the fixture in August.
Basic directions;
Head toward the M1 and go north. Exit at junction 19 and join the M6. Keep left and exit at junction 4, then keep left again to enter the roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A446. Go over the next roundabout, then keep right to turn onto Coventry Road (this goes across the carriage way and isn’t light controlled. Caution is advised). When you reach a small green on the right hand side, turn right into Packington Lane. The entrance to the ground is on the left, among the trees. There is modest car parking which should be enough for our visit.
