On this day in Rovers history… The earliest recorded win for Rovers on this date was back in 1912, when home game against Huntingdon in Biggleswade & District League saw a 10-0 win.
The last time Kempston took the field on this date was in 2010, when Rushden & Higham were the visitors. Rovers winning 4-0 on that occasion, goals from Sam Macrae, Kofi Schultz and Aaron Baldwin, along with an own goal. Incidentally, this was Martin Conway’s second appearance for Kempston.

Rovers win in the Battle of Bedford Borough last time out has buoyed the mood around Hillgrounds, meaning that Rovers have four defeats in fifteen games now, however the stat of no wins in seven has been lifted. Tony Joyce certainly knows that fortune favours the bold after his team selection showed attacking intent at The Eyrie.
Aylesbury, featuring Ty Deacon, who appeared sixteen times for Kempston this season – scoring twice, arrive at Hillgrounds at the wrong end of the table, but with some decent recent results under their belts.
The Moles have taken a very tough decision to accept demotion at the end of this season after a long battle to comply with the ground grading regulations. Obviously, no one in football likes relegation, least of all when it happens off the pitch and there is very little that can be done about it. All at Kempston wish Aylesbury FC all the best as they go forward next season and we are sure to welcome them back to Hillgrounds very soon at this level.
