The Moles‘ current form is somewhat unpredictable. After a disastrous end to last season, they have collected six points from eight games so far this term. A goal-less draw against Bromsgrove and a magnificent 6-1 thrashing of Dunstable Town prove that they are capable, however a 1-0 defeat at home to Kidlington, who to that point had nothing but loses and only scored once so far, shows a different side to their character. They managed a draw with Barton at the weekend.
Kempston haven’t played a league match in what seems like forever. After losing the opening two games, Rovers then won two back to back before the game with Bedford Town. Since then, Rovers have been pre-occupied with cups – making progress in the FA Trophy and Southern League Challenge Cup as well as the almost-fairytale of Woking.
Basic directions;
Follow the A421 towards Milton Keynes, once you have passed the ‘long jump statue roundabout’, take the second exit at the next roundabout, following the sign for MK Dons. At the next three roundabouts take first, third and first exits toward Bow Brickhill station. Cross the railway line and then the A5 and stay on the A4146. Stay on this road, crossing all roundabouts, until you see the A418 to Aylesbury signposted. Take this exit from the roundabout. Continue to follow the A418 into Aylesbury itself until the double roundabout. Go straight over the first of the double, then turn right at the second onto Bicester Road. You will reach a roundabout with a pub named “The Cotton Wheel” on the right hand side, at this roundabout, take the third exit onto Jackson Road. Haywood Way is second right off Jackson Road. The ground is at the end of this road, there is limited parking, but the surrounding streets are reasonably quiet.
