Last Time They Were Here… Welwyn stole a 3-2 win during Rovers’ transitional phase, Mason Spence scoring a wonderous long distance goal to tie the scores before the visitors nicked it. Alfie Powell was the other Kempston man to find the net. Ieuan Riley was sent off in the first half for a foul, on a team mate.

Did you know… Ex-England and just about any premier league club goalkeeper David James was a pupil at WGC’s Sir Frederic Osbourn School, now known as Ridgeway Academy. James is well known to be a Luton supporter, but has been rather vocal in praising Watford in recent months. That’s a half and half scarf you don’t want to own.
In the bar Pre-match we will be screening Leicester against Tottenham, while after the game, please join us to watch Newcastle take on Brighton. Both games will be shown on our big screens.
On this day in Rovers history… Historically speaking, this is a day for big home wins for Kempston.
In 1907 the club beat Bromham in a friendly 10-0, Biggleswade United were beaten 4-0 in 1935 in the FA Cup, then in 1957 Finedon were beaten 8-1 in a UCL encounter, while in 1999 Buckingham Town were the victims of an 8-0 mauling.
